

Wanda “Sweet Sue” Bowden, Stevens, King, Lewis, 77 passed away September 10, 2012 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born February 8, 1935 in Duke, Oklahoma to William Olan and Virginia Mable (Bridges) Bowden.
Sue was known by all as a vibrant business woman who owned and operated The Hairstyling Center in Midwest City, Oklahoma for 30 years. She was an avid competitor and champion at every sport she played; basketball, tennis, softball, bowling and shuffleboard of which she was the 2003 co-holder of the 1st Place, Division III Doubles title at the North American Shuffleboard Championships.
Preceded in death by parents W. O. and Virginia Mable Bowden. Brothers; Kenneth and W.O. Bowden, Jr. Husbands; James Stevens, Robert Johnson King, Troy Lewis and long-time companion Carl Sawyer. Son; David Stevens.
Survived by her brother, Dr. William Bowden; Sisters, Norma Wubbles Welty and Jane Burger-Burroughs, Daughters; Linda Stevens Nation, Brenda Stevens Swanson, Jaylene King Mattocks and Patricia Lewis Powell; Grandchildren, Bill, Chad and Miranda Nation, Jason and Maggie Sue Swanson, Amanda Holinsworth, Dustin Mattocks and Natasha Powell, and many great-grandchildren. In lieu of services, Mother has requested that on May 1, 2013 we gather where she and Troy Lewis were married at Texhoma Lake for the scattering of her ashes with his.
