

William Fredrick Baker passed away Friday, May 20, 2016. He was born in Ogden, Utah on April 12, 1927. Having been born and raised in the southwest, "Bill" was a cowboy at heart. Everything from his boots to his hat spoke cowboy. He was given the nick names of "Wild Bill" and "Cowboy" from those who knew him. He was kind to all he met and ready to share a smile and his sweet gentle spirit with everyone. He lived the last 18 years of his life in Del City, Oklahoma close to family.
Family was always very important to him. Bill joined the army after high school and did a tour in Italy. Bill graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Psychology. He worked for a time in this field but spent most of his career working for IBM. It was at the University of New Mexico where he met his wife Helen. He loved to travel and see new places using his love of photography to remember all that he did.
Bill is survived by his children: Jean Baker, Steve Baker, Carla Gray, Beverly Hossack, grandchildren: Brad Gray, Carly Rippy, Audrey Poole, Nick Baker, Thomas Baker, Megan Salazar, Cheyenne Philbrick, Kristina Vickers, Van Piset Sou, Van Pisey Sou and 6 great grandchildren He is also survived by his brother Frank Baker.
