

For the last 31 years, William made his home in McLoud, where he found joy in the quiet beauty of country life, fishing whenever he had the chance, wood carving, and spending treasured time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
William proudly served his country in the United States Army and spent 56 years working as a skilled floor installer. Beyond his work, he was widely known throughout Oklahoma and Texas as a talented and respected guitarist. Music was woven deeply into his life, and he shared his gift with countless people over the years, bringing joy and music wherever he went.
He is survived by his loving wife, Trudy Dea Burns; his children, Steve Dill, Joanna Ralls, Becky (Brian) Acree, Kathy (Edward) Peaslee, and James Burns; his grandchildren, Brittiany Ralls, Kara Towler, Allison Turner, John (Grace) Ralls, Elizabeth Ralls, Susanna Ralls, Tabitha Gelpi, Phillip Ralls, Matthew Ralls, Sarah Ralls, Hannah Pewitt, Hunter Acree, Kennedi (JJ) Mygatt, Sherman Peaslee, Marissa Peaslee, Devin Greenwood, and Grant (Aubrie) Burns; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters, Cheryl (Ronnie) Dill, and Debbie (Ron) Wright, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. William was preceded in death by his parents, William Orville Burns Sr. and Lylous Riley.
William will be remembered for his music, his craftsmanship, his love of the outdoors, and the deep love he had for his family. His stories, songs, laughter, and presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
Funeral services will follow starting at 2:00 p.m. at the same location.
Committal services will take place following the funeral service at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City.
