Upon graduating from Woodland high in Lutesville, MO, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1974-1994 and later, worked at Tinker AFB until his retirement in 2012. He embraced his “Ozark” roots and was so proud of his backwoods heritage. His son Matt was his passion, as fishing and baseball were his dreams. An avid fisherman, he loved going to the annual “Top Three” fishing trip to Lake Texoma for the last 25 years. His “dream team”, of course was the St. Louis Cardinals, which were displayed on almost every baseball cap he ever owned.
