Mae Campbell Lowery and passed peacefully in his sleep May 22, 2019 in Oklahoma City.
Pat and Mary E. Walling married on April 26, 1952 in OKC and they resided and raised a son Keith and a
daughter Patti in Midwest City, OK.
He lettered in football and graduated from Heavener High School, and he later studied at the University
of Oklahoma.
Pat enlisted at an early age in the U.S. Navy. The day after completing boot camp, WWII ended with
Japan’s surrender and he spent the next 12 months stationed in the Phillipines.
He left the Navy and began his Civil Service career at Tinker Air Force Base in May 1948. Soon after
joining the U.S. Naval Reserves in 1950, he was recalled to active service when North Korea invaded
South Korea and he served as Seaman 1st Class on the USS Chara in Korea and the Sea of Japan. He was
awarded the Navy Occupational Medal and the Korean Service Medal for his Navy service.
He retired from Civil Service in May 1983 after a 35 year career at Tinker AFB.
Pat loved spending time with his family, watching football, woodworking and making redwood
Adirondack chairs, swings and tables, and worshipping and volunteering at the First Baptist Church of
Midwest City.
He is survived by his daughter Patti Murphy, his daughter-in-law Peggy Lowery, his step granddaughter
Melissa Rogers and his dear friend Betty Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary, his son Keith and his son-in-law Mike Murphy.
Pat will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services are 2pm Thursday May 30, presided by Dr. Mike Tignor at the First Baptist Church of
Midwest City followed by interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
Visitation is 10am-8pm Wednesday May 29 at Bill Eisenhower SE Funeral Home in Del City,
