William was the kind of man who never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, bluegrass music, traveling, RVing, and was quite the story teller. He was an avid member of HOG, and enjoyed traveling the U.S. attending rally’s. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and also a Shriner.
William was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lucy Beatrice (McCorkle) Sanders; children, Daniel Ray Sanders and Bonnie Bates; and five siblings. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Mazie; children, William Sanders (Linda), Richard Sanders (Virginia), Michael Sanders (Emily); granddaughter, Jennifer Jimenez (Rafael); great-grandchildren, Stefanie and Samantha Jimenez; step-children, Carla Stillwell (Thomas), Tim Brown (Lori), Mark and Justin Brown; nine step-grandchildren; 13 step great-grandchildren; and three siblings.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
