

Wilma enjoyed shopping for anything but mostly for clothes. She had a wonderful sense of humor and never had anything negative to say about anyone. She was a reading teacher who retired from the Mustang school district. Wilma was a faithful member of Grace Place Baptist Church. She always made it a point to read her Bible and remember to say her prayers. Wilma loved playing games. Even in her later years, she enjoyed playing dominos and “Moon”. Wilma made a famous chocolate pudding that her family loved very much. In fact, Wilma loved desserts of all kinds.
Wilma is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl D. Emerson; brothers, Hal Beton Miller and J.R. Miller; and sister, Pauline Snider. Survivors include her sons, Brian Emerson and wife Peggy, Richard Emerson and wife Mary, Dwight Emerson and wife Becky, and Mark Emerson; grandchildren, Robin Merrill and husband Flint, Christy Emerson, Casie Bazay and husband Mike, Aubrey Emerson and wife Amanda, Blake Emerson and wife Mindy, Brandon Emerson and wife Heather, and Jaylyn Emerson; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Shaneyfelt; and numerous other family members who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 29, 2016 at Grace Place Baptist Church with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
