

Wilson Hull Beardsley Jr. born September 4, 1926 to Wilson H and Ellen Marie Pinkerton Beardsley in Houston, TX. He was born again spiritually through the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, to prepare him for heaven. He graduated from Milby HS, was an Eagle Scout and later Scoutmaster. He graduated from Texas A&M in Rural Sociology, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with M. Divinity and M.R.E.. OU with M. Sociology and Doctor of Ministries from Fuller Theological Seminary, CA.
He pastored Valley Creek Baptist Church, Leonard, TX where he was ordained to the gospel ministry; FBC, Gene Autry, OK; Zaneis BC, Wilson, OK; FBC, Thackerville, OK; Lone Star BC, Oklahoma City; and administrator and assistant to the pastor for 50 years at FSBC, Del City. His greatest joy was leading people to the Lord in the benevolence ministry and evangelism. He was actively involved in the construction of buildings in 5 of these churches. While Administrator at FSBC, he was also Gen. Chairman of the SBC Business Officers Conference.
At 17, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps (long story) and then the Army. On his way to WWII in Europe, God protected him by the war’s ending. He served in the reserves as Division Chaplain of the 95th Infantry Training Division, ending as a Colonel. He always liked going to visit his Uncle Sam.
He married Frances Redmond December 21, 1946, and they were married 59 years when she went home to be with the Lord. She said that they would have their troubles here working for the Lord, ”but the retirement plan is out of this world.” A year after she died, he married Ruth Ann Vincent of Choctaw, OK, on December 8, 2006, and she survives him. She was the joy of his later life.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Ellen Ann Marciszewski, (Chris), and their daughters, April Marciszewski (Charles), and Shannon Lockwood (Jeff); daughter Carol Jean Womack (Rodney), daughter Jennifer Faulk (Adam), son Jeremy (McKinley), daughter Juliet Reep (Tom); son Kyle David Beardsley (Leanne), daughters Brooke Anderson (Tyler), Kalee and sons Kyle, Kaleb and Jared. Ten great grandchildren: Colton Faulk, Michael and Joseph, Knox, Stella, and Levi Anderson, Marcel Marciszewski, Remi and Rae Reep, and Sawyer Womack. Wilson is now meeting and loving Justin Womack and two Marciszewski babies.
