Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Albert Raymond “Fox” Renard, closed his eyes peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, and entered into the gates of Heaven. At his passing, Raymond was 89 years old.
Born on November 23, 1935, in Vermilion Parish, Raymond was the second of seven children born to the late Junius and Etta Landry Renard. From a young age, he carried with him a strong work ethic, a love of the outdoors, and a heart devoted to family.
A true “jack of all trades,” Raymond was never afraid to roll up his sleeves and get the job done. Over the years, he worked as an electrician on boats and later as a Bridge Tender in Delcambre, where he was known for his reliability and warm smile. Yet, among all his pursuits, his favorite title was that of cattle farmer. Tending to his animals and working the land brought him joy and peace—simple pleasures that reflected his humble and hardworking spirit.
Even as he faced the challenges of dementia later in life, Raymond continued to inspire his family with his quiet strength, gentle humor, and enduring love.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and devotion that will live on in all who knew him. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with loved ones gone before him, resting in the eternal peace of God’s embrace.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Junius Renard (Audrey); Brian Renard (Danelle) and Jessica Renard Richard (Lance); his grandchildren, Jade Alario(Jude); Lauren Renard; Bricen Renard (Kelly); Brenn Renard (Kayla); Rhesa Frederick (Jacob); Ethan Richard (Brittany); Lanie Richard (Joseph); Taylor Simmons (Will) and Andre’ Renard (Madison); great grandchildren, McKenzie Darby; Bailey Darby; Chloe Renard, Kaden Renard; Cooper Renard; Mila Renard; Kaius Renard; Ryan Richard; Tucker Richard; Asher Frederick and Cecilia Frederick; two sisters, Earline R. LeBlanc and Brenda R. Miguez and three brothers, Paul Fammon Renard (Kay); Edvard Lee Renard and Edwin Renard (Judy).
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Emily Jane Comeaux Renard; one son, Nathan John Renard and one sister, Geraldine R. Benoit.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Evangeline Funeral Home in Delcambre with Deacon Patrick Burke officiating. Raymond will be laid to rest at Migues Cemetery in Delcambre.
