Carol James Touchet

DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Carol James Touchet, age 57, at 11:00 am Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum in Erath.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.

A native of New Iberia and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Touchet passed away at 7:00 pm on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Dauterive Hospital.

Carol loved spending time with his family and friends. He was employed at “Diamond M” for 10 years. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish, crab, crawfish, and go frogging and deer hunting. When he was not spending time outdoors he liked to shoot pool.

He is survived by his son, Chad Viator and Chad’s mother, JoAnn Viator; step daughter, Tiffany Keel; three step grandchildren and 1 step great granddaughter; his parents, Sarris James and Mary Louise Peltier Touchet; Brothers and Sisters, Curtis Touchet and wife Shirley, Calvin Touchet and wife Patricia; Nerry Romero and wife Barbara; Alida Boudeloche and husband Philip; Amelia Smith and husband T-Leonce; Saul Touchet and wife Amie; Belinda Bergeron and husband Shane; Tiffany Duhon and husband Ricky; Travis Duhon and Toby Duhon and twenty four nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Touchet; Paternal grandparents, Saul and Alida Touchet and Maternal grandparents, Ignace and Lula Mae Peltier.

Pallbearers will be Chad Viator, Toby Duhon, Zach Viator, Curtis Touchet, Tyler Bourque, Nerry Romero, Cory Touchet and T-Leonce Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Saul Touchet, Coby Romero, Calvin Touchet, Tyler Bergeron, Phillip Boudeloche, Dane Romero, Christian Smith and Kilan Smith.
