Claude Cleveland Gonsoulin

DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Claude Cleveland Gonsoulin, age 67, at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. J Wilson Matt officiating. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time with a Rosary recited at 11:00 AM.

Claude Cleveland Gonsoulin leaves behind his wife, the love of his life and best friend, Janet Gonsoulin.

He is also survived by his son, Drs. Shannon J. Gonsoulin and wife Toni of New Iberia; daughter, Wendy Gonsoulin Ghattas and husband Rony of Plano, TX; stepson Robbie Barras and wife JoEllen of Delcambre; stepdaughter, Gina Barras Theriot and husband David of Delcambre; grandchildren, Taylor Christine, Johnathon Claude, Anna Diane and Joshua Anthony Gonsoulin of New Iberia, E.J. and Elise Gabrielle Ghattas of Plano, TX; step-grandchildren Corrie Janelle Saunier, Alyssa Marie Theriot, Alex John and Aliana Claire Barras; step-great grandchildren, Blaise Ashton and Jorrie Claudette Vital of Delcambre; brother, Joseph Wilson Gonsoulin of New Iberia; sister, Genevieve Julie Guidry of Rayne; aunt, Mrs. Jeannette Matt Young of Opelousas and uncle, Fr. J. Wilson Matt of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents Claude Joseph and Beatrice Matt Gonsoulin and nephew Joshua Joseph Gonsoulin.

Pall bearers will be Ronnie Gonsoulin, James Sprague, Glen Miguez, David Bonin, Daniel Faulk and Randy Degeyter.

In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre.
