Emilda Bourque Mayard

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Leedron Paul “Red” “Chuckoo” Mayard, the former Emilda “Millie” Bourque, age 79, at 11:00 am Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Herb Bennerfield officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.

A native and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Mayard passed away at 10:05 am on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Mayard is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leedron Paul “Red” “Chuckoo” Mayard of Delcambre; two sons, Chris Mayard and wife Christine E. Mayard of Erath and Mickey Mayard and wife Linda C. Mayard of Delcambre; two daughters, Frankie M. Romero and husband Marcus of Erath and Patrice M. Harvey and husband Steve of Cherry Tree, PA; eight grandchildren, Dusti M. Robicheaux and husband Trey; Caleb Mayard and wife Michelle; Johnathan Mayard and wife Heather; Jeremy Castille and wife Deidre; Millicent Johnston and husband Daniel; Bliss Romero; Demi Butler and Amelia Harvey and ten great grandchildren.

She is also survived by two sisters, Shirley B. Broussard and husband Whitney of Erath and Relma B. Norman of Houston, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Effie Armentor Bourque; one brother, Ray James Bourque and two grandsons, Grant P. Mayard and Casey J. Mayard.

Pallbearers will be Johnathan Mayard, Caleb Mayard, Jeremy Castille, Steve Harvey, Marcus Romero, Trey Robicheaux, Jesse Alario and Chuck McKenna.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jade Mayard, McKenzie Castille, Mason Johnston, Maverick Johnston and Jean’Paul Mayard.
