Born on November 4, 1955, to the late James Saunier and Audrey Romero Saunier.
A devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and loving sister, Greta found her greatest joy in her family. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love created a lasting legacy that will continue through the generations.
Greta was also a faithful servant of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, where her faith and devotion were an important part of her life. She lived her faith through her love for others, her generous spirit, and her commitment to her church and community.
May she rest in the peace and loving arms of our Lord. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons, Brodie Dressel and Dustin Dressel, one granddaughter, Abigail Rose Dressel and two brothers, Blaine Saunier (Phyllis Saunier) and Michael Saunier (Jean LeBlanc) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Alton David Dressel and one sister, Geraldine Saunier.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 3:00 pm with Fr. Buddy Breaux officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 pm.
Greta will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery following the service.
