Jody was born on June 5, 1982 to Gordon Gary, Sr. and Patsy Duplantis Gary in Abbeville, LA.
Jody was a loving son, brother, brother in law and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Wee Wee.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Gordon Gary, Sr. and Patsy Duplantis Gary; two brothers, Sonny Gary and his wife Rebecca and Gordon Gary, Jr. and his wife Lynette; his nieces and nephews, Trevor Gary, Jenna Gary, Braxton Gary, Courtney Gary and Dillon Smith and four great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his infant twin sisters, Priscilla and Criscilla Gary; maternal grandparents, Ledier and Adella Touchet Duplantis and paternal grandparents, Leonce and Rosa Mae Bourque Gary.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Evangeline Funeral Home in Delcambre. Fr. Buddy Breaux will officiate.
A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home in Delcambre on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:30 pm.
The funeral home will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 am until service time.
