Judy Bourque Martin

DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Aramise “Pepper” J. Martin, Jr., the former Judy Bourque, age 68, at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Sister Deborah Randal with Apostolic Lighthouse of Abbeville will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Migues Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm on Thursday until service time on Friday.

A native and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Martin passed away at 8:40 am on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Iberia Medical Center.

Mrs. Martin was a kind hearted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her top priority was taking care of her family and having them over as often as possible. She enjoyed embroidery, reading and playing Yahtzee with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband of 27 years, Aramise J. “Pepper” Martin, Jr. of Delcambre; two sons, James “Bose” Sonnier and wife Robin of Erath; Pepper Martin and wife Amy of Youngsville; five daughters, Candy Medina and husband Wesley of Delcambre; Stephanie Stubblefield and husband Curtis, Kerry Jagneaux and husband Alvin, II, Jamie Reinecke and friend Phillip Romero and Ashley Martin and husband Quintin Green all of Erath; her mother, Dalta Mae Jagers Bourque of Abbeville; one brother, Rodney Bourque and wife Charmaine of Delcambre; two sisters, Mona Faye Gros and husband Michael of Patterson and Donna Adam and husband Anthony “Curley” of Abbeville; two special companions, granddaughter, Brianna Reinecke and grand puppy Cody; twenty three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her aunt and godmother Maerine Broussard and husband Frances of Delcambre and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Minos J. Bourque; and her granddaughter, Brittney Reinecke.

Pallbearers will be Casey Sonnier, Lance Sonnier, Scott Sonnier, Jude Stubblefield, Eric Stubblefield, Janson Istre and Patrick Pitre.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Delcambre, Trey Denby and Ryan Sonnier, Andrew Sonnier, Derek Denby, Seth Dore and Ashton Istre.
