Lefraye Joseph Segura

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Lefraye Joseph Segura, age 76, at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm on Tuesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Wednesday until service time.

A native of Delcambre and resident of Erath, Mr. Segura passed away at 4:36 am on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Segura was employed with the Highway Department and served as the Bridge Tender for 33 years. He enjoyed playing cards and watching football and baseball. He leaves his family many memories and a wonderful legacy.

Mr. Segura is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosa Belle Vice Segura of Erath; seven children, Debra Segura Braus and husband Edward of Kaplan; Sherry Segura Washington and husband Joseph of Abbeville; Brady Segura of Delcambre; Keith Segura of Erath; Darryl Segura of Maurice; Karen Segura Thibodeaux and husband Louis of Snellville, GA and Pamela Segura Comeaux and husband Mark of Delcambre; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Dulius Segura and wife Gertrude of Delcambre and three sisters, Lorraine Segura Duhon of Delcambre; Irene Segura LaSalle of Erath and Elaine Segura Comeaux and husband Earless of Bob Acres.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Jean and Euphemie Desormeaux Segura and two sisters, Agnes Segura Duplantis and Nilda Segura Duplantis.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Comeaux, Matthew Thibodeaux, Kyle Segura, Brian Braus, Scotty Segura and Kerry Duhon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Segura and Joshua Segura.
