Mae Anna Price, age 79, of Hampton, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. She was born on February 1, 1947, and lived a life centered around family, laughter, and the simple joys that brought her peace.
Mae enjoyed the things that made life feel full. She loved visiting the casino, especially to play the Buffalo slot machines, where she was known to be lucky. Many of those trips were made with her favorite grandchild, Rico, who she cherished deeply. She also loved fishing, not just catching the fish, but cooking it and sharing a good meal afterward. Blues music often filled the air around her, setting the tone for many relaxed afternoons and evenings.
More than anything, Mae loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the center of her heart and the light of her life. She took pride in watching them grow and made sure they always knew they were loved.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Timothy P. Edwards (Yolanda), Brent Williams, and Tyrone Mouton; her daughter, Cheryl Baker (Warren); her siblings, Clarence Edwards, Jr. (Susan), Dalton Edwards, Mary Edwards, and Leona Edwards (Dan); her grandchildren, Kenoshia, Kaitlyn, Rico, Timicia, Chelsea, Ricki, Aundrea, Andre, and Wayne; and her great-grandchildren, Rhyland, Khaza, Rhaiden, Kacen, Jahsai, Bryan Jr, Jayce, and Jean Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theotis Price; her parents, Clarence and Elgene Edwards; her daughter, Tiffany Harmon; and her son, Robert Edwards.
Visitation will be held at New Beginnings Primitive Baptist, 622 E 1st St, Kaplan, Louisiana, on February 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 with Pastor Earnest Williams, III officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Holy Rosary Cemetery, 152 Veterans Dr, Kaplan, Louisiana, following the services.
Pallbearers will be Darren Gums, Keith Morgan, Cassidy “Doodie” Roy, Carey Davis, Cadell Crisp, Jean Arnoux, and Kayla Gums.
“Well done, thy good and faithful servant.”
