Manson John Campbell

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Manson John Campbell, age 75, at 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Herb Bennerfield will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre on Monday from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm, with the rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Tuesday from 8:00 am until services.

A native and resident of Bob Acres, Mr. Campbell passed away Sunday, October 03, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Campbell was worked with and retired from Murphy Oil with over 30 years services.

He leaves many fond memories with family and friends, and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife OF 51 years, Doris Arcement Campbell of Bob Acres; his sons, Manuel Campbell and wife Sandra of Sulphur, Andy Campbell and wife Jill of Delcambre, Toby Campbell and wife Shantelle of Erath, and Jason Campbell and wife Tiffany of Bob Acres; seven grandchildren, Drew, Lane, Alli, Dustin, and Matthew Campbell, and Brittany and Daniel Laborie; and his brothers, Louday Campbell of Bob Acres, and Elvis Campbell of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Erice and Mable Legnon Campbell; and his sister, Everta C. Robicheaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be his sons, Manuel, Andy, Toby and Jason Campbell, and grandsons, Drew and Dustin Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Louday, Elvis and Charles Campbell, and Gerald Robicheaux.

sorry to hear about your lost Mrs campbell,he was such a good man,always had a kind word,and always a smile on his face,my oldest son adored him very much,when he was lil boy mr campbell would come to the shrimp shop and sit and talk with him,and push him on the swing,,then one day he came to my house and brought him a swing he made for him,we wanted to pay him but he said oh no that's for my lil buddy,may god bless you and if you need anything we are here for you

Uncle manson we will never forget the fun times we had with you, jon-paul still talks about playing dice with you and messing with you, the little time i got to know you was an awesome time and we will miss you dearly.. Jason & Tiffany yall are in our hearts and so are all the rest.. We love yall all dearly and aunt doris we will be there for you and take care of you whenever you need.. we will miss him cutting up like we use to do.. Its so sad that he suffered but now hes with his parents, grandparents, and ma everta and poppie.. Give them a hug and a kiss for us and we will se each other one day and tell daddy jeffery to watch over us and take care of us and that we love him and everone else we love yall!!
