It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Meyers Colletti, our beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the age of 57.
Nancy was born on October 26, 1967, in New Iberia to the late Alton Meyers and Judy Bourque Meyers.
Nancy was the heart of her family — a woman whose love knew no bounds. She devoted her life to caring for those she loved, always putting others first with quiet strength, warmth, and unwavering dedication. She was a natural caregiver, offering endless compassion and support, especially in helping her brother Jamie care for their parents and sister during times of need.
Family was everything to Nancy. She adored babies and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, whose laughter and hugs brought her immeasurable joy. Whether it was rocking a newborn to sleep or sharing stories and snacks with her grandkids, she cherished every moment spent with them.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — a good puzzle on a quiet afternoon, a fun trip to the casino, or the thrill of her favorite song coming on the radio. A true music lover, her days were often filled with the sounds of classic '80s hits and heartfelt country ballads.
Her presence was a gift, her smile a comfort, and her heart a safe place for all who needed it. She was the kind of person who showed up — for birthdays, for hard times, for everything in between.
Her love will continue to guide us — steady, strong, and forever in our hearts.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Scottie Colletti; one daughter, Ira Colletti; two sons, Brandon Vergenal and wife Lynn and Tyler Joseph “TJ” Colletti and wife Madison; ten grandchildren, Lily Vergenal, Atlas Vergenal, Ava Segura, Zoe Segura, Zaiden Segura, Kynslee Faulk, Karsyn Naquin, Adilynn Reign, Myleigh Kate and Kyndall Colletti; her mother, Judy Bourque Meyers; one sister, Tammy Hotard and one brother, Jamie Meyers and wife Lisa.
She is preceded in death by her father, Alton Meyers; maternal grandparents, Wiltz Bourque and Aline Bourque and paternal grandparents, Sylvest Meyers and Mae Meyers.
