Nativite LeBlanc Frederick, affectionately known as Lucille, was a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 20, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on September 8, 1946, in Erath, Louisiana, to the late Ollie Paul and Rita Lange LeBlanc.
A devoted member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lucille lived a life grounded in faith, love, and service. Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, she touched the lives of many in her community.
Lucille found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially cooking, shopping, and spending quality time with family and friends. She shared her love of food with generations of students as a dedicated cafeteria worker at both Delcambre High School and Erath High School.
Lucille and her husband shared many happy memories together camping and enjoying the outdoors. They were proud members of the Bayou Carlin Camping Club, where Lucille enthusiastically served as the head of the Bingo committee, organizing events and creating lasting friendships.
Lucille will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ferris John Frederick, Sr.; one daughter, Eugenie Frederick; two sons, Ferris Frederick, II and wife Rosaline and Terrelll Frederick and four grandchildren, Tommy Frederick, Trey Frederick, Angeleigha “Sug” Davis and Zalena Frederick.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by on sister, Audrey Johnson and one brother, Murphy LeBlanc.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Evangeline Funeral Home in Delcambre with Fr. Buddy Breaux officiating. Following the service, Mrs. Frederick will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 9:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Terrell Frederick, Trey Frederick, Carmen LeBlanc, Carlos LeBlanc, Clayt LeBlanc, and Brent Johnson.
