

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Paul Dale LeBlanc, age 83, at 11:00 am Monday June 13, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Voorhies officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery with military honors by Vermilion Parish Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.
A native resident of Delcambre, Mr. LeBlanc passed away at 6:30 am on Friday June 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Mr. LeBlanc served four years in the US Navy as a medical corpsman. He was an avid sports fan, especially a big fan of the LSU Tigers and the Delcambre Panthers. Paul was known for his cooking ability, especially his gumbo. He loved having company. Poppa had a special tradition where he would make all his newborn grandchildren “dance” to a special song passed down from his father. Paul was a constant source of love, courage, and strength to his family. He had an infectious smile and never knew a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elaine Champagne LeBlanc of Erath; son, Scott LeBlanc and wife Liz of Delcambre; daughters, Andrea Dees and husband Arthur of Delcambre, Erin Latiolais of Youngsville, Sharon Primeaux and husband Todd of Erath, and Robin Stephens and husband Chris of Delcambre; grandchildren, Lauren LeBlanc and companion Kyle Robin, Chris Dees and wife Angelique, Steven Dees and companion Rebekah Romero, Philip Viator and wife Brandy, Lyndsey Viator, Randi Bourg and husband Kelly, Janie LeBlanc and fiancé’ Joe Escobar, Erik LeBlanc and companion Brooke Miller, Emily LeBlanc, Kristin Primeaux, Brad Primeaux and companion Taylor Carter, Quinn Primeaux, Noah LeBlanc, Jesse Stephens and wife Jessika, Jeffery Stephens and wife Erica, and Jeremy Stephens and companion Jessica Rann; great grandchildren, Delaina, Kruen, Sophie, Ellie, Kylee, Ryleigh, Drake, Chloe, Ave, Molly, Charlie, and Kendyll; and a sister, Verdice Delcambre of Delcambre.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Delaina Maria LeBlanc; great granddaughter, Remi Claire Viator, infant daughter of Philip and Brandy Viator; parents, Elie “Chaunt” and Anelies Boudreaux LeBlanc; brothers, Ivy LeBlanc and Joseph T. “J.T.” LeBlanc; and sister, Mary Lou Laviolette.
Pallbearers will be Philip Viator, Erik LeBlanc, Chris Dees, Steven Dees, Brad Primeaux, and Quinn Primeaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Noah LeBlanc, Kruen Potier, Drake Comeaux, Clint Champagne, and Glenn Earl Dore.
The family wishes to thank Dr. James Mwatibo and the staff of Heart of Hospice, Dr. Nathan Landry, Dr. Charles Wendling, and the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center especially the nurses on the fifth floor.
