It is with heavy hearts and deep love that the Duhon family announces the passing of our beloved matriarch and the heart of our family, Sebrena Perez Duhon. Sebrena passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 28, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was 70 years old.
Sebrena lived a simple yet deeply fulfilling life, one defined by unconditional love, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. To her, there was no greater joy than being surrounded by those she loved, whether for a holiday celebration, a family meal, or simply spending time together. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and acceptance, where everyone was welcomed with open arms and a loving heart.
It was Sebrena's selfless nature and gentle spirit that created countless treasured memories for her family. She was the foundation upon which generations were built, always placing the needs of others before her own and offering encouragement, wisdom, and love without hesitation. Her greatest accomplishment and proudest blessing was the family she nurtured throughout her life.
Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in the faith and hope that this earthly separation is only temporary. We trust that one day we will be reunited with her in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Until that joyful day, we will carry her love in our hearts and honor her memory by loving one another as she so faithfully taught us.
Those left to cherish Sebrena's beautiful memory are her devoted husband and best friend of 53 years, Chris Duhon; her three loving daughters, Melina D. Richard (Jacob), Hillary D. Benoit (Rusty), and Kimberly D. LeBlanc (Cody); her ten cherished grandchildren, Carmen Duhon (Brandon), Erica Duhon (Rickey), Chris A. Duhon, Lanie Benoit, Riley Benoit, Ally Benoit, Milly Benoit, Lily LeBlanc, Cody LeBlanc, Jr., and Trixy LeBlanc; her five adored great-grandchildren, Sophie Aucoin, Aiden Aucoin, Azala Duhon, Skye LeBlanc, and River LeBlanc; her beloved mother, Felicia Bourque Perez; her siblings, Mikey, Clint, Donald, Joey, Debbie, and Robyn; Sebrena’s closest and dearest friend, Donna Duhon who was like a sister to her; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who were blessed by her love.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robley Perez; her beloved grandmother who lovingly raised her, Hazel Perez; and her siblings, Bill, Becky, Mike, Cathy, and Christopher.
In keeping with Sebrena's wishes, no public funeral services will be held. She will be laid to rest privately at a later date.
Though she has departed from our sight, Sebrena's legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
