Shawn Philip Touchard

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Shawn Philip Touchard, age 19, at 2:00 pm Monday, September 27, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Gary Schexnayder will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church mausoleum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Monday from 8:00 am until services.

A native and resident of Delcambre, Shawn passed away Friday, September 24, 2010.

Shawn was a proud father, and loved and adored the time he spent with his baby girl, Maylee. Of course, being an outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but it was his family that mattered most to him. He was the type of person that enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Shawn’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his daughter, Maylee Angelle Doucet of Abbeville; his sister and brother, Brandy L. Touchard and Justin R. Touchard both of Delcambre; maternal grandfather, Fernand Viator, Jr.; step-father, Michael Delcambre; nephews, Drey and Devin Touchard, and Dasin Smith; step-sister and step brother, Bryan Delcambre and Leslie Albert; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Joseph Touchard and Sara Viator Delcambre; maternal grandmother, Vivian LeBlanc Viator; and paternal grandparents, Roy and Sue Touchard.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Touchard, Eric Romero, Kevin Menard, Ted Viator, Gene Viator, and Kevin Smith.
