Shellie was a strong, hardworking woman who lived for her family. Everything she did came from a place of love. Her family lovingly called her the Family Manager and the Queen Warrior, names that fit her well because she carried her family through life with strength, order, and grace. To her grandchildren, she was Mimi, a name spoken with joy and comfort. They adored their Mimi, and she loved them beyond measure.
Shellie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Alonza Henderson, and together they raised a beautiful family. She was the heart of her home, the one who made sure everyone was cared for and everything was handled. Her love was steady, her presence was powerful, and her sacrifices never went unnoticed. Though she has answered the Lord’s call, her spirit and her love will continue to live on in the lives she touched.
Shellie leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Alonza Henderson, her daughter Markistiny Reed (Gerald), her step children Devin Pilette (Isabella), Azarius Henderson, Ashton Henderson, and Katina Perry. She also leaves her loving mother, Brenda Gage, her siblings Brad Gage (Tanisha), Jarrod Gage, and Lena Gage, along with her treasured grandchildren Aubree Gage, Genesis Reed, Denim Rose Reed, Jade Pilette, and I’Nari Henderson. She is also remembered by a host of relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
