Walter Edward Williams Jr.

DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Walter Edward Williams, Jr., age 49, at 11:00 am Monday, February 10, 2014 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm Sunday until service time on Monday. The funeral home will remain open all night.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Erath, Walter passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at his residence.

Walter loved and cared deeply for his wife and children and his grandbabies meant the world to him. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, going to the casino and working on cars. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Glenda LeBlanc Williams of Erath; one son, Beau LeBlanc and Taylor Lecamus of Erath; three daughters, Cherindia Manuel and husband John of Baton Rouge; Alisha LeBlanc and Ray Delcambre of Youngsville and Hallie Williams of Erath; grandchildren, Tyla Talley, Myri Delcambr, Zyli LeBlanc and one due in October; his mother, Lorena Williams of New Iberia; brothers, Daniel Williams and George “Porky” Williams both of New Iberia; sisters, Vickie Hall of New Iberia; Trudy Lopez and Bob of Breaux Bridge; Deborah Scoggin and Jack of Cecilia; Tina Warnock and Tommy Bennett of Clinton, MS and Ramona Alleman and Jerryof New Iberia; his mother in law, Annette Hebert of Sulphur and his godparents, Vickie Hall and Minos Falgout.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Williams, Sr.; one brother, Douglas “Buddy” Hall; grandbaby Manuel; cousin, Ernestine Segura Derrick; father in law, Ronald Hebert, Sr. and his friends, Arthur “Art” Tassin, Joey Desormeaux and Eddie Hulin.

Pallbearers will be Beau LeBlanc, John Manuel, Joe Medina; Ronald “Ronnie” Hebert, Donald Manuel and Joshua Klein. Zachary “Aflac” Hebert will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
