

Beverly was born on May 8th, 1940, in Newton, Massachusetts, and grew up in a home with loving parents, Louis and Gertrude, and brother Leonard. She met the love of her life, Arnold S. Fine on Winthrop Beach, and they were married a year later in 1959. She graduated from LaSalle Junior College with an Associate’s Degree in Education in 1960. Her life was fulfilled as a homemaker, daughter, sibling, cousin, friend, and mother to her two daughters. She worked in the Newton School Department for many years, as well as being a talented saleswoman in her retirement in Delray Beach, Florida.
Beverly enjoyed playing Mahjong, Bridge and Canasta with many close friends and was an avid baker, reader and puzzler. She contributed to many charities, especially those for animals as she was passionate about their care and well-being. She had pets throughout her life, each of which she treasured. She was closely involved in her family’s lives and greatly enjoyed spending time and chatting with them as her family continued to grow over her long and full life.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy L. Johnson and her husband Mark, and Cynthia A. Fine; her grandchildren, Amanda Johnson, Ben Johnson and his wife Gabriela, Cerena Johnson and her husband Clayton Checkeye, and Abigail Fine; and her great-grandchildren, Louis, Eloise and Theodore. She is additionally survived by her brother Leonard Baer and is predeceased by her husband of 65 years Arnold S. Fine.
A graveside service will be held on Friday the 18th of September 2026 at 11am at the Temple Emanuel Memorial Park (in Lindwood Memorial Park) at 490 North Street in Randolph, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to Jewish National Fund Trees.
