We didn't get to spend much time together. It was a pleasure to meet you. It was very nice how you and my mom stayed friends even after Lacey got too old for a baby sitter. Lacey, if you read this, we are so proud of you for being strong, you'll do good things with your life.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Zuckerman family. I remember the first time I met Carol. I came to the Zuckerman's house for brunch with my sister, Naomi. The moment Carol came into the room, she had an energy and it was clear from the smiles on all the faces how loved she was by her family. Over the years I have heard from Chuck and Naomi about what a great mother Carol was and how much she loved Lacey. It is awe-inspiring to read the tributes from her friends and students - what a wonderful life Carol led!

Carol and I became friend’s  through a mutual friend, and  when my son and Lacey took soccer classes together  when they were in early childhood. 
Carol was always up for an adventure , whether it was taking the kids ice skating or going to a dude ranch.We loved spending time with her and Lacey. We will miss them tremendously and we hope to say in close contact with Lacey as she grows up. We will always be here for Lacey and we will  cherish all the times we spent together. ❤️

I am so sad and still in disbelief. Carol, you were a true, honest and loyal friend. You were smart and called it like it was, which made our countless times together full of joy and laughter. We met at the Tauber preschool at ATJC and instantly connected as we were both from Great Neck and went to High School at North, graduating just a few years apart.  You were an amazing mom, devoted to Lacey, strong and determined. You’d drive every which way so Lacey could be with her friends and take the classes she enjoyed. Always faithful, always looking forward to what was next.

You were also a dedicated teacher at AWK-8. When Hannah switched schools you were sure to always check in with her. You always made her smile.  We will miss the playdates, tennis lessons and the pumpkin patch. I will miss our long talks about the girls, plant based foods, our plans, everything really.  I am grateful you were my friend. I will miss you always.

I met Carol over 35 years ago through Liz Rivlin.  She had the best laugh and was just such a lovely person.  We stayed close over the years, and I always admired Carol for doing things her way.  Moving away on her own took a tremendous amount of courage as did having Lacy on her own.  But that is exactly what made Carol such a special person.  We could talk for hours and she always seemed interested in what I was talking about, believe me that is no small feat.  She offered such great support to me during my divorce.  But offering support is just typical Carol being there for here friends.  A clear theme about Carol is that so many people adored her and enjoyed being friends with her.  She truly was a great friend.  
My condolences to her mother and the rest of the family of course.  

To Lacy, your mother was not just a fantastic mother, but an incredible human being who was loved by so many people.  She loved you so much.  Every time we talked within the first minute, your name was mentioned and immediately followed by how proud she was and how much she adored you.  Yes parents often brag about their children, but you truly were everything to her.  She just loved you so much.

Carol, I will miss our long talks, your infectious laugh, and your ability to make me feel better about my own life.  You were taken way to soon.  RIP beautiful angelic soul.

Carol was a patient in our office. She was always with Lacey who would be attached to her hip. She was always trying to find the perfect things for Lacey. I remember her asking me about the American Girl dolls. I told her places find things. Carol was kind. She always had good intentions and a warm heart. I was actually thinking it was time for her to come in the other day. I am so sorry Lacey will not know she was the reason carol would breathe. I remember Lacey in her kitty shirt and tutu with little ballet shoes. Very sad situation. A lot of people will suffer and miss her daily. Good bye lady. I wish your daughter all the success and happiness. I will pray for her not to suffer.


I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Carol.  She was a wonderful female, Mom, and good friend.  I'll never forget how our relationship began during this pandemic because our girls were inseparable.   We spent truly good times together during play dates , weekends and holidays.  It was nice to have a mom my age with the same age daughter -and both with a parent to talk so much about (her Mom and my Dad).... we clicked.  Her free spirit and holistic approach to life was amazing.  She was so in love with Lacey and would do anything for her.  I'll miss our talks and I'll definitely miss that phone call / text to see what was up for the weekend.  May she rest in peace and know that Lacey will be forever part of our family even if she is miles away.  

Carol was such a sweet and kind person. You could tell she cared a lot for other people. Her presence will be missed. She was an important part of the tight knit neighborhood.  We hope for the best for Lacey and for her to know she had a great mother.

I am in shock!  What a tragedy!  Carol was a good friend of mine and we spoke often.   As I don't do social media I tried contacting her several times by phone and text and knew something was wrong as she was always good at responding.  Finally thought to check facebook and was shocked to see this.  My deepest condolence's go out to Anne, Lacey and the rest of Carol's extended family.

Dear Ms. Zuckerman's Family and Friends,

Our family received the saddening news of Ms. Zuckerman's death today, March 8 during the AWK-8 moment of silence. Immediately, her memory as a valued teacher filled our minds. Our daughter was her 1st grade student last year. We greatly appreciated her resourcefulness, respectfulness, and kind understanding. She did her best to make learning Math, Science, and Social Studies fun both at school and during COVID 2020 distance learning. Our child learned a lot from her passionate teaching and relevant assignments. Thus, our hearts go out to all of you especially Ms. Zuckerman's precious daughter, Lacey. Please take solace in knowing that the Hearer of Prayers hears your prayers, sees every tear, and truly cares for your sorrow; may His purpose to wipe tears of death from all faces be fulfilled on the Earth as promised in the Holy Writings. (Psalms 65:2 & Isaiah 25:8) We pray that you all will receive the comfort needed to soothe your grieving hearts. Carol and I went to grade school together at Saddle Rock School in Great Neck Estates.  I have known Carol for more than 50 years. 
Carol was always an outgoing, dynamic, funny and strong person.  How did this virus ever beat her?!?  I just do not understand.
I am very saddened by the loss of our Carol, who was larger than life, always full of energy.  RIP Carol - we will miss you.

I’m extremely saddened by this news. Mrs. Z. was my son’s teacher this year. Even though we had a rough start virtually when we went in person learning I found out what an amazing teacher Ms. Zuckerman was. My son would always come home and share stories about what she told him about history. She truly cared about our kids, especially their feelings.  One of our last texts with Mrs. Zuckerman was about how much my son enjoyed her class and she responded that it made her feel good. You will be missed by all! May your memory be a blessing!!!

Ms Zuckerman was my teacher last year in first grade. I missed her so much. I remember when she helpped me when a kid bother me at the cafeteria and thought me math.  she was so nice. I miss her so much. My mommy told me she will teach the kids in heaven and she will be in my good dreams.  I love you Ms Zuckerman. 

I was shocked to hear about Carol’s passing.  I met her when she purchased her house in Davie as I was the realtor who had it listed.  She was so full of life and loved her daughter and would do anything for her.  She was so excited to move into the neighborhood so her daughter could be around so many friends.  We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers and we are here for the family.  She truly was loved in the neighborhood and I’m so blessed to know her and her daughter.

 I remember when you and I did Morning Duty together when our school first opened.  You always looked so beautiful, and you would give me tips to be healthier.  This year, I had the pleasure of meeting your daughter, Lacey.  You are an amazing Mom as Lacey is so kind, talented, smart, and an all around remarkable girl. There are no words to describe this Tragedy as you were taken to soon from us. I met Carol from mutual friends before I started working at AWK8 . We use to hang out at holiday parties together for the Jewish holidays. Then when I started to work at AWK8 we became closer and hung out on the weekends at the pool. I'm heartbroken  and in shock as I was just on the phone texting you and spent 45 minutes assisting you with the online math book.   I will always remember you and what a dedicated teacher and mother you were. Lacy was your everything and you loved her so much. My thoughts and prayers to the family. All of us will watch over Lacy, she is a special child and loved by everyone. May you Rest In Peace . ❤️

Carol lived with my sister Kay and to-become husband Jeff in Fort Lauderdale for 3 years. I have the fondest memories of talking to her about holistic medicine and playing with Lexi. She was funny and opinionated and had such a presence in the room. It was around this time that she was trying to become pregnant and I remember how desperately she wanted to be a mom. I only got to meet Lacey once or twice years later but I remember being so amazed at what an incredible kid she is and (unsurprisingly) what a great mom Carol was. I'm heartbroken for Lacey to loose her mother. Carol will be missed greatly and Lacey will be in our thoughts and prayers. 

Carol was one-of-a-kind. She was a people connector and is the main reason Laura and I are together today.  I got to know her well as she lived with us for a few months in NYC to save money to buy her apartment. We also met up with her a few times in FL. My condolences to Lacey and her family. She will be missed. May her memory be a blessing.

We never met in person but our families are connected through Aimee in a Facebook group. We are so very sorry. Please know we are all thinking of Lacey at this awful time and  sending our heartfelt condolences from Australia. 

I am so incredibly devastated to hear about Carol's passing. Carol was a great friend, Mom, daughter, etc. No matter what,...Carol always let you know that you were important to her and reached out . I can not believe we will not be talking again. I hope I can keep Lacey's memories alive and spend time with her in New York.  Please let me know about any services or funeral arrangements.

Carol was a dear friend and colleague for 12 years. The last three years we were teaching partners and shared our daily lives together. Texting about the children we taught and our own personal children. She was in love with Lacey and couldn't wait to visit her mother for spring break. My heart is broken over this tragedy.
 Little Lacey grew up visiting my children and spending holidays with us. My daughter Hannah was her babysitter when she was younger. I gave Carol my cleaning woman who raised my children to help her to raise little Lacey. Carol loved Roni just like we did and I knew Roni would become part of her family!
I pray you are at peace my friend sleeping on a cloud. I will forever love you and cherish the times we spent together. I will keep up with Lacey and watch over her for you. When things get better I promise that Hannah and I will go to visit her. You will never be forgotten my friend. XOXO

I feel lucky because my daughter Beya was one of her students and we got to know her cheerful and kind personally. It was such a bliss. Still cannot decipher the fact that she is gone. I met Carol in Paris in the Summer of 1986 at a Bistro. Funny thing.... we were both from Great Neck, NY. I graduated South, she graduated North. Of course we hit it off instantly!  From there we formed a friendship that took us all over France and back to the US. We always kept tabs on each other through Social Media. Carol and I were roommates in Aventura, FL and she lived with me and Kay until she got pregnant. She was a wonderful roommate and genuine good person inside and out. Ms. Zuckerman was a cooperative and collaborative educator who always looked out for her students.  I remember when she was pregnant  with Lacey, I would tell her to get ready for the first six months because they were so very challenging.  I wish the family peace during this most difficult time, and wish Lacey to thrive in spite of this great loss.

I’ve known Carol for over 20 years. We first met in L.A.  and got along since we were both native New Yorkers.  Even though she moved to Florida and I back to NY we stayed in touch. Her and Lacey would come down to Rockaway and stay with me and hang out at the beach. We’ve gone on many trips together  and she was trying to convince me to go to this holistic place in San Diego with her this summer that she’s been to several times that her parents use to go to as well.  I’m so shocked and saddened by this news.  I know she will always be watching over Lacey.

Carol and I worked together in NYC when she was in Real Estate. We became friends really quickly since we started around the same time and spent a lot of time together. We would go out after work, hung out on the weekends and traveled to Pennsylvania to get her dog Lexi and had a great time. I loved her voice and her tough love attitude. 

 I'm so sorry to hear of this unexpected loss.  Please accept my heartfelt condolences.  My heart goes out to daughter and family after this sudden loss. I will miss my friend of over 30 years!  We were stuck in lockdown last year for 2 1/2 months together in her home. We rallied together to get through that ordeal and keep all of our sanities. Lots of board games, movies, cooking, yoga, walks.......my heart breaks!
