As a friend to Ed' s inlaws my parents Eva & Seymour Deutsch, were able to send my sister and I to your beautiful camp back in 1964 when you had the NY Knicks freak out color war.   I remember your friendly manor and nurturing ways. Spending time in Crane Lake I enjoyed our Thursday trips to tanglewood it gave me a deep appreciation for music and inspired me to learn music and become a musician   Thank you .  To Barbera and family my deepest sympathy and I wish you all well.

I remember CLC and Ed and Barbara with great fondness.  The camp years were my transition from being a child to being an adult,(and from a camper to a Group Leader).  Ed and Barbara you encouraged that growth.  To the Ulanoff Family, my belated condolences.

Like so many others have written, Ed made the summer something to look forward to during those cold winter months. Watching him play tennis with the Tobins and Larry Gordon. Or sitting with us as we watched coach Lenny and his staff of waiters play the Harlem Globetrotters. Rico let me drive the big black truck thinking Ed didn't know, but of course he did. Sneaking out of my bunk through the floor to see "the girls". Ed knew that also, Ed knew everything. Thanks Ed.

We spent many, many wonderful summers in the Berkshires, and those memories are forever with us.  The three of us literally grew up there.  We “lived” for the summers, and regarded the “winters” as a pesky little something we had to get through so we could go back to camp next summer.  Ed really knew how to run a camp, he ran it with love and kindness; he will always be our “Uncle Ed.”  (Ed and Barbara were even at my wedding)  Even though we have (sort of) grown up, we think and talk about camp often.  You will always be in our thoughts.

     We returned from Florida yesterday to read the sad news.  He sounds like a wonderful person.  My brother was also an athlete, skier, mountain climber.  He died in a fall at 39.  Brothers are precious.  So are you.  Love from Roma and -- Al
