Evelina Vazquez

Evelina was born on August 7, 1932 in Greenwich Village, NY. She was the daughter of the late Martino and Carmela Grillo.

She met her lifelong love, Ramon, through her friendship with one of his aunts. They were married in 1958 and built a loving family. They would have celebrated 68 years of marriage in October.

Evelina worked as a NYC crossing guard for 17 years. She loved her job as a crossing guard.

She enjoyed her hobbies of playing cards, bowling, bingo and listening to music.

She enjoyed celebrating special occasions at one of her favorite restaurants, Seasons 52.

Evelina is survived by her husband, Ramon, and their two daughters, Elena(Alfred) Hutwagner, Lisa(Richard) Andersen, her grandchildren, Michael( Carolyn) Hutwagner, Jillian( Jeffrey) Crane and her two great grandchildren, Finn and Callum Hutwagner.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 11 am at Emmanuel Church on S. Military Trail in Delray Beach, Florida.

Family and friends may visit from 9-10 am on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Riverside- Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, West Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, Florida.
