Lois was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and was formerly of Edison and Lakewood N.J. before moving to Delray Beach, Florida permanently in 2014. She was a graduate of Upsala College with a BS in Psychology. While raising her family she entered the business world and was consistently ranked the top producer in sales for Garden State Business Machines. She was an active founding congregant of Temple Emanu-El in Edison, NJ. She enjoyed close friendships, extensive travel, Broadway theatre, Sunday’s New York Times crosswords, fine dining, and tennis. She was always a voracious reader.
Spirited, witty, and driven, Lois was a woman born ahead of her time with a brilliant smile, sharp repartee and contagious laugh. She was a savvy businessperson, an exceptional mother, committed wife, loving daughter and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Irwin J. Kaufer, her daughter Donna Schwartz and her husband Scott Yellen of Boynton Beach, FL, her son Gary Schwartz and his spouse Christopher Gentile of Miami, FL, her stepson Michael Kaufer and his spouse Matthew Davis of New York City, and her cherished grandson Matthew Errico.
