She was predeceased by her husband, Frank M. Burgo and daughter, Janet M. Dooley; mother and father, Theresa and Anthony Spiotto; mother-in-law, Mary J. Burgo; sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Phil Christopher; and in-laws, Elaine and Ernie Passaro.
She was a loving role model for her children, Gary Burgo (Shari) and Nancy Rusin (Jerry); grandchildren, Christopher Dooley (Carrie), Jeffrey Dooley, Gary Burgo Jr., Kristen Napolitano, and Gianni Burgo; great-grandchildren, Erin Dooley, Justin Dooley, Maria Napolitano, Leo Napolitano, Chase Burgo, and Brayden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Mary was a delightfully energetic and bubbly woman who had a lot of love for everyone. She was very involved at Bishop Kearney High School by participating in many plays as a young woman. At 50 years old, she went to school for computer marketing to run a department at Xerox. At 52, she also went to school to become a clown by the name of Sparky, purely for her eldest grandson Christopher, who was afraid of them. She wanted to make sure he had a clown he could love! She was also the lunch lady for her husband's and her carting and delivery service, Jet-X, which she helped run until 2000, when they both retired. Mary also loved the
Buffalo Bills, and she went to watch many games in her jersey with Nancy at a special friend's house every week.
Mary was the bang of the ball. She will be missed by all. From the Burgo family, we would like to thank Tom Arena, a lifetime friend of 64 years.
Her family will be receiving friends Monday, March 23rd from 4 to 7 PM at Paul W. Harris Funeral Home, located at 570 Kings Highway S., Rochester, NY 14617.
Family and friends are invited to attend her service on Tuesday, March 24th at 1:30 PM at All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park, located at 210 Marsh Rd, Pittsford, NY 14534.
