Melvin Erfer, 90 of Delray Beach passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 18, 2013. His adoring wife of 62 years, Joyce was by his side. Melvin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and served his country as a World War II veteran. He was an astute businessman who operated a variety of businesses from toys to office supplies. Being a family man was his proudest role to his children Leslee (Daniel) Shooster of Boca Raton; grandchildren Joel, Paul, Derek, Margot; David Erfer and his wife Lori of Radnor, Pa, and two sons Justin and Ryan. Melvin will be fondly remembered for the wonderful life he led, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held on Sunday, January 20th at 12:30 PM at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel, 7205 West Atlantic Ave, in Delray Beach.
