Rhoda was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Ann and Meyer Lichting. She was a graduate of Barnard College. Rhoda had a long career as a residential real estate agent, first in Pittsburgh and then in Palm Beach, most recently with The Fite Group. She was an active volunteer in Pittsburgh and Palm Beach, serving in the Junior League of Pittsburgh, on the United Way Allocation Committee in Palm Beach, and working to register voters in Palm Beach County. Rhoda was a docent at the Norton Museum in West Palm Beach.
Rhoda is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard M. Kleid of Palm Beach, and her daughter Susan Kleid of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by her sister, Maxine Marlowe, her nephew and wife, Keith and Lise Marlowe, her niece and husband, Shari Beth and Rob Neidich, and her grand-nieces Gabby Marlowe and Marta Neidich and her grand-nephews Lucas Neidich and Max Marlowe.
Rhoda was devoted to her family and a loyal friend to many.
A memorial service is being held at 11:00am on Tuesday March 27th, 2018 at Temple Israel in West Palm Beach. Memorial donations may be made to the Norton Museum, www.norton.org, the Lord's Place, www.thelordsplace.org or a charity of your choice.
