John and Family, you are also in my thoughts and prayers. I had not heard this news until I opened up the Burleson Star today. My heart is heavy. Your Mom and Dad were "one of a kind" great people. Hugs Kathleen Rushing Graves Gardner

Bertha was a wonderful addition to the Burleson ISD Family. This is where I enjoyed her love for people and to see what a wonderful lady she was. I am keeping John and his family in my prayers. "Words cannot express the love I have for my grandmother. Her unconditional love is an understatement. She is the most beautiful person inside and out I have ever known. Just the sight of her made me feel the warmth of what love and life is all about. She will live on in my heart each and everyday and I'm so thankful that she was my grandma." I love you Memaw, your grandson, Chance
