Betty Jane Kennemer McCoy

On Thursday, September 25, 2014, Betty Jane McCoy, 72, of Denison, was taken from this world and received into the arms of Our Lord. Betty was born on December 22, 1941 in Gladewater, Texas to Paul and Nadine Kennemer.

She is survived by her son Leslie Pruitt and wife Regina of Denison; daughter Kristi Garland and husband Wayne of Bonham; daughter-in-law Toshi Pruitt of Denison; sister Paulette Skinner and husband Larry of Avinger; sister Shirley Watson and husband Clyde of Pasadena; many other family and friends. She is also survived by her grandchildren Krystal, Jared, Jason, Clinton, Chelsea and Megan and her great-grandchildren Emilia, Jaden and Gregory–Hans, whom she loved very much. She is preceded in death by her son Gregory Pruitt and her parents.

Betty was a retiree of Johnson and Johnson where she worked for 43 ½ years.

She loved and adored her furry companion of 9 years, Maggie.

Pallbearers will be Jason Pruitt, Clinton Pruitt, Russell McDaniel, Wayne Garland, Todd Skinner and Dakota Skinner.

The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home at 9:00 am on Monday, prior to the service which will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:00 am at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas with the Honorable Judge Horace Groff officiating. Betty’s final resting place will be at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or charity of choice.
