Billy "Bill" Wayne Holt

September 26, 1949June 7, 2013

DENISON - Billy Wayne Holt, 63, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 in Denison, Texas.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bratcher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas. Funeral service will be Monday, June 10, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Bells, Texas with Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Corky Criswell, Eric Neidert, Tim Patrick, Edgar Guevara, David Martin and Matt Porter. Honorary pallbearers Dwayne Wortham and Bill Ellis.

Bill was born September 26, 1949 in Denison, Texas to Bill H. Holt and Ruby B. Rowland. He spent much of his career working for the railroad, first for the "Katy" and then the Union Pacific. He loved talking trains with anyone who would listen. This was a love he inherited from his dad.

Diddy, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was lucky to have several great joys in his life: his wife, Sandra, his children, Todd Holt and Amy Neidert and husband Eric, and twin grandchildren Jake and Kelly Neidert. Diddy was an avid hunter who loved nothing more than jumping the duck ponds with Jake and Trapper his dog. He also loved listening to Kelly's long chit chats with her Grammy and attending Kelly's dance recitals. He was always there for his family, no matter what!

He is survived by his immediate family Sandra, Todd, Amy, Eric, Jake and Kelly. He also has a wonderful multitude of family and friends he leaves behind: cousin Donna Criswell and husband Corky, cousin Courtney McDonald and husband Warren and children Avery and Josh, cousin David Martin, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill and Sherri Dugan and their families, Dwayne and Carol Wortham, Jeffery, Katie and Hunter Thompson, Larry Stanphill, Bill Massenburg, Bobbie and Andy Russell, and Edgar and Melissa Guevara and children Rachel and Ethan as well as many others.

Bill you made our first years at the lake very memorable. You were always so nice to Ben and I, we loved your smile and your kindness. I always look up to see if it is Gunslinger coming around the corner every time I hear a boat coming with the loud music. Thanks Bill! You were awesome! You will be missed!

Sandra our prayers are with you and your family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bill outside of Houston School as he was there waiting for his grandkids to get out of school. He would chat about anything and everything. I noticed that his pet peeve was the speeders that would go through the school zone. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sandra, my sister, Denetta, told me of your husband's passing. The two of you were so kind and helpful to Randy and her after Tom's passing...when I thanked your husband he simply replied, "that is what family is for". My prayers are with your family. Darrell W. Thomas.
