Brian Neal Evans

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, December 14, 2012 at Bratcher Funeral Home.

Memorial Service will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison, Texas with beloved family friend Beverly Ransom, E.M. officiating.

Brian was born May 17, 1957 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to Conrad L. Evans and Joy J. McKnight Evans. He married Catherine Korioth July 12, 1980 in Denison, Texas. He loved his family very much and got much joy and love from his sons and grandchildren. He always enjoyed a good conversation and relating his many interesting personal stories with family and friends. His sons friends enjoyed being at Brian's house and to many was both a friend and father figure.

He had a special place in his heart for his pets and an admiration for all wildlife. Rarely was he without a pack of trusted canines at his side. Hunting and fishing provided him great pleasure, from the time of his first fishing pole and BB gun up until his last dove hunt and fishing trip. The boys and I enjoyed being with him on many of these trips. Brian had many talents and always amazed us with his cooking, mechanical and repair knowledge, and ability to put the sharpest edge in town on a knife. We will miss Brian immensely but we are blessed to have many fond memories to cherish.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Evans of Denison; mother Joy Evans of Sillwater, Oklahoma; sons Angus Evan and wife Rachel of Denison, Case Evans of Denison; brothers Shaun Evans of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Kent Evans and wife Julie of Moscow, Idaho; nieces Hanna and Sarah Evans; 2 grandchildren Avonlea and Noah Evans.

He is preceded in death by his father Conrad L. Evans and brother Craig Evans.
