Charles Turner came into my life when I was 11 years old and was the only father I knew for 43 years. He will be greatly missed as I always knew he would be there as soon as needed. He was a wonderful caregiver for my mother, Ruby Riggs Adair Turner, in the last year of her life (she passed in November 2000). Charles in his inimitable way was always there for anyone in need. He always gave without question or expectation of repayment for the time he was with us. He was a wonderful provider and left us way too soon. I do know he is no longer in pain and that is the only joy I have in his passing. I will eternally miss not being able to say "Goodbye" to him and letting him know how much his time in my life has meant to me. Rest in peace Charles, I will see you on the other side. He died this day because his body had served its purpose. His soul had done what it came to do, learned what it came to learn, and then was free to leave.

Eternal rest, grant unto him O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May he rest in peace. Amen.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Mildred and Family. Charles was a always a good man who helped and supported his family over his lifetime. I was very happy when I heard that Midge and Charles got together in later years and I know personally they were very happy together and that the two families meshed together very well. We send our sincerest condolences to Midge and the entire family on the loss of Charles. I regret that my family circumstances prevent our attendance at the funeral, but our thoughts and prayers will be with you during this difficult time. We send our love to all of you.
