Deanna Darline Petty Kern

Deanna was born Wednesday, August 3, 1960 in Pecos, Texas, the daughter of James Darwin Petty and Sara Ruth Ross Petty. She married Kirk B. Kern August 31, 2001. She worked at Denison Dialysis form September 2001 to December 2009, then went on disability.

She is survived by husband Kirk B. Kern of Denison; son Wesley Shaw & wife Jennifer of Goldsmith, Texas; step-sons Kirk J. Kern, Kyle Kern both of Denison; brothers James Petty, Jr. of Pecos, Eddie Peters of Denison; half-sisters Theresa Peters of Sioux City, Iowa, Yvonne Robinson of Count, Tennessee; father-in-law Chuck Bruce and mother-in-law Rose Marie Bruce of Denison; grandchildren Katelynn Shaw, Addison Shaw, Robyn Kern and Seth Kern.

She is predeceased by her dad James Petty; step-mom Eva Petty; step-dad Roy Peters and mom Sara Peters.

Deanna enjoyed camping, going to church and spending time with family.

The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison for visitation from 6:00 – 7:30 pm, Thursday, February 4, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 5, 2016 at Trinity Lighthouse Church with Rev. Raymond England officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Peters, Michael Kern, Kirk J. Kern and Kyle Kern.
