Geraldine Powers, age 84, of Denison, Texas passed away on Wednesday May 6, 2020. Geraldine was born on a cold, brisk Saturday April 11, 1936 in Anderson, South Carolina to Mae Lee (Phillips) and W.L Fowler.

My precious Aunt Geraldine was the last living relative in my father’s side of the family who was older than I. She and I were kids together and shared many precious memories. She would walk with me to my junior high school after which she would continue walking to her nearby high school. One time she and I were playing in her back yard where an iron wash kettle was filled with rain water. I got a glass coffee cup and was throwing water on her by scooping it in the cup from the kettle. On one scoop I accidentally hit the cup on the top of the open kettle and the glass pieces cut her arm. That didn’t bother her! However she was mad at me cause her mother spanked her for allowing me to use the glass cup in our fun activity. I certainly will miss her until I see her again on the other side of the river.

Jerry, Kenny and families,
Sheila and I were so sorry to hear of Aunt Tinky's passing. She and George, and all of you boys, were such a part of my family's lives when we were younger, and I know how much Mom and Dad enjoyed their Friday night dinners and traveling together. We're sorry we can't be there in person for the visitation and service, but we will be thinking of you all.
Lynn and Sheila
