Grace Joan Dixon Blankenship

Family visitation/Memorial service will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 4, 2015 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel in Denison, Texas with Chaplain Randal Fogle officiating.

Grace was born Sunday, July 22, 1934 in Danville, Illinois to Roy and Eileen (McMachan) Dixon. She was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church in Denison, Texas and worked for many years at K-Mart in Sherman where she retired. She was an avid bowler and a member of the WIBC and USBC and part owner in Sher-Den Lanes in Denison, Texas and sold Avon for many years. She married Teddy Blankenship, Sr. on July 3, 1954 at Hagerman Baptist Church in Pottsboro, Texas.

She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Kendra Blankenship; son, Roy Lynn Blankenship; mother, Eileen Nichols; step-father, Less Nichols and father, Roy Dixon.

Grace is survived by husband, Teddy Blankenship, Sr.; son Ted Blankenship, Jr. and wife Tina; daughter, Deb Jacobs and husband Jim; son Alan Blankenship and wife Tammy; daughter-in-law, Karry Blankenship, grandchildren; Melissa Tally and husband Barry, Alicia Blankenship, James Jacobs, Josh Jacobs and wife Teresa, Nathan Blankenship, Richard Cates and wife Tracy, Keith Cates and wife Jennifer, Brandi Jacobs and Tammy Watkins; great-grandchildren, Oscar, Hodge and Davis Tally, Malachi and Hannah Jacobs, Bailey, Katie, Parker and Cloe Cates, Kayla, Kelton and Karsyn Cates and Paisley Watkins.
