Jackie Nathan Irvin

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Larry Johnson at Bratcher Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 3, 2011.

Jack was born August 6, 1940 to George Amos and Cora Esther Irvin in Carrollton, GA. He attended high school in Georgia and college in Dallas, TX. He was a business owner from 1980 – 1987 of Irvin and Sons, Inc., a paint and drywall company. He married Ada Marie Bohanan on August 6, 1988.

He was a construction superintendent for many years at Fox and Jacobs, Centex Homes and retired from Sumeer Homes in 2006. His favorite hobbies were Wolfchase Trap Shooting, turkey shoots, sporting clays and family genealogy.

Jack is survived by wife Ada Marie of 23 years, sons Jackie Wade & wife Linda of Sanger, Daniel & wife Susan of Quinlan, Kevin Goodwin of the home, Roy Morris & wife Brenda of Aubrey; daughter DeeAnn Ply of Hugo, OK; brother Oliver Irvin & wife Ki of Spokane, WA; sisters Joann Mewbourne of Arlington, Joy Crane & husband Donnie of Ft. Worth, Anita Williams & husband Mike of Henderson, NV; grandsons Alexander Irvin & Nicole Hill of Sanger, TX, Taylor Ply of Hugo, OK; granddaughters April Bonine & husband Gary of Denton, Ami Irvin & Scott Wells of Sanger, Jessie Ply of Hugo, OK, Kasey & Tracy Ply of Bokoshe, OK; uncle James Irvin; aunts Doris Johnson, Pauline Chappell, Munzie Upner; six great-granddaughters & four great-grandsons; nephews Brad Crane, Mike Mewbourne, Daniel Smith, Ronald Sprabary, Mike Rackley, Gene Rackley, Jimmy Rackley; nieces Becky Webb, Faith Slusher, Michelle Parker, Melanie Flenniken, Amanda Poytner, Megan Smith, Jessica Smith, Kathryn Harris, Earlene Routh, Deborah Johnson & Cheryl Coffman; brother-in-law Earl Sprabary & wife Alice of Aransas Pass; sister-in-law Betty Rackley of Quinlan; good friends Johnny Foster, Wendell Boling, James Rhudy, Larry McDonald & Travis Croft. He was loved by one and all and will remain in our memories forever!

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jerry & Jasper & sister Jerilyn Flenniken.
