James was born on Tuesday, July 25, 1933 in Dallas, Texas, the son of James Henry Underwood and Buelah May Sproul. He was a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by sons James Monroe Underwood & wife Jeanie of Denison, Robert Underwood & wife Debbie of Denison; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Betty Irene Underwood and son Michael Wayne Underwood.
