

Marvin "Dusty" Hunt was born on June 28, 1949 to Evelyn Marie Hunt and Marvin Frank Hunt, Sr. He resided in Denison and attended Denison schools until the last part of his senior year at which time he moved to Duncanville, Texas. He played football for the Jackets and was captain of the football team in 1967. Dusty was awarded a football scholarship to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he met his wife, Ann Suberbielle. They were married on November 22, 1969 and remained together until his death.
Dusty is survived by his wife Ann and his children Kathryn Hunt, Jennifer Hunt Jackson and her husband Marc, Joseph Hunt and his wife, Jodi, Natalie Hunt Jamison and her husband, Jonathan and Sean Hunt and his wife, Amanda. He is also survived by his siblings Joe Lee Hunt of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Noel Hunt and his wife, Renee of Plano, Texas, Patty Matthys of Lyons, New York and Kelly McClafferty of Flower Mound, Texas. He had nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dusty was employed for the Grayson County Sheriff's Department from 1976 to 1993 and served as Chief Deputy under Sheriff Jack Driscoll. Jack and his wife Carolyn became a close part of Dusty's family and are still considered so today. Many of those who served with Dusty at the Sheriff's Department remained dearest friends until his death.
Dusty became employed for the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services where he served as an investigator. Many of the children Dusty was involved with at CPS never forgot him and continued to contact him even after they became adults and had their own families.
Dusty was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and he had served as Grand Knight. He was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America.
