Shocked when I just found out today after an extended vacation. Mike was one of my "therapy" customers with RailTex. Always fun, a do it and do it right kind of guy! Wish I could have hung out with him more after retirement. Miss him a lot!!

I first worked with Mike when he was based in Vermont. He proved to be an excellent partner in our dealings and a good friend thereafter. I have missed spending time with Mike over the last few years and I am sad to see him go. My sympathies to all who were close to him.

I had the good fortune to meet Mike and work with him over the years at several of the railroads he managed for Railtex and later RailAmerica. Mike taught me a lot about the industry and always treated me, as a supplier, with the utmost courtesy and respect. He was truly one of the "good guys" in the industry. My sincere condolence to his family and friends.

I met Mike in 1988 when I started working for RailTex. His brash exterior never scared me. He tried very hard to conceal that he was a "softy" but many of us saw through that exterior. He taught us all how to work hard, play hard and laugh hard. He even taught us a few words that aren't in the dictionary. He will be remembered for all of those things. I, too, want to thank him for introducing me to his family. He loved all of you very much. He was a good soul and a good friend and I will never forget him.

I have fond memories of my high school and boy scout days I shared with Mike. The Model A he and his Dad restored and his 56 chevy.

Gloria and Heather,
Paula and I are so sorry we could not be there to comfort you in your loss. Mike was my favorite Brigham cousin and if it were not for him I might not have gone to Tech. I will miss his stories and our conversations. You should both be pround of all the good things he did.

Mike was funny, always upbeat, had an infectious smile, was daring, sometimes too much, and I'm glad I was fortunate enough to have shared some great times at Texas Tech and going to and fro from there in our fast cars. May you find peace in your lives and remember him as we friends will.
