Pat,

I am so sorry you couldn’t stay longer with your family, but God had other plans for you. You had a great reception waiting for you in Heaven—your parents. You were so loved by them, Kay and your wife. I know you’re home now and one day Kay and Linda will see you again, as will many friends and other family members. I prayed for you here on this Earth and again when I heard you had entered the arms of Jesus and God. You probably don’t remember me, but I am thankful you were always so nice to another one of Kay’s friends. Blessings to you,  Linda, Kay and Richard.

"Following Seas": Defined by Bowditch's American Practical Navigator as "A sea in which the waves move in the general direction of the heading."

When I married into the Curry family, Pat accepted me like a brother.  I married his sister Kay and Pat was always there to defend me when I got in trouble.  We called each other Bro and we developed that special bond.  Pat had a lot of experiences and talents: being a FIA Formula 4 race car driver; working nascar race tracks truing Goodyear tires; part owner in fork lift business; owned upholstery shop for classic  cars; teaching heli arc welding in college; and sculpture artist. Most importantly Pat said, “He and Jesus were buddies".

A dear friend & mentor. Pat, we spent many hours solving the world's problems.  I always opened with “Ole Wise One and your reply was always Professor Shannon. If you couldn’t fix it, you made it. If I heard it once I heard it a hundred times silicone was good for everything. Your history and military service was always inspiring, yet you were so humble. You will be deeply missed, my Ole friend.

It has been our great honor to pray for Pat all these months. He was such a valiant fighter.  We pray now, Linda and Kay, for your peace, comfort, and courage to face the days ahead.  Our condolences to you both. 


Pat you were my hero!  When I asked you why you went to Viet Nam, your reply was "For you Sis".  I know what you meant.  To keep me and others safe and to keep our freedoms.  
Your death has left a HUGE hole in my heart.   Your marriage to Linda was a true love story.  She and I have become like sisters.

I was so sad to hear this!  I said many prayers for Pat hoping God might allow him to be with his wife and you for a while longer but see HE has other plans for Pat.
I'm so sorry for your great loss.  I know he is in good care now and most likely with the ministering angels on the other side to help your loved ones home to The Lord.  Bless you and love you!

I didn’t know Pat that well but his precious wife, Linda, is a dear friend of mine. I’ve seen such an outpouring of love from her to Pat during this time. My prayers and love go out to you, Linda. 

With deepest sympathy from the entire North Dallas High School Class of '64.  Pat was a friend to all and we know he will be missed by all his family and friends.
