Raymond Reed Clayton, 90, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at his home in Pottsboro.

The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Funeral services will be held at Bratcher Funeral Home chapel Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Preston Bend Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas.

Raymond was born Tuesday, April 16, 1929 in Ector, Texas, the son of Eugene Henderson Clayton and Lillian Butler Clayton.

He had a love for the outdoors. Raymond could be found along the banks of Lake Texoma reeling in fish and enjoying the breeze. He was an avid hunter, but spending time with his family brought him his greatest joy.

He is survived by his wife Pat; sons Mark and Eddy; daughters Carol and Sheila; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Talk about a life lived, he did and many were touched in such a fun way. To say he’s being missed doesn’t even come close to encompassing the emptiness we’re feeling. Our family is blessed because of him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Preston Bend Cemetery Assn., c/o Marvelle Hudson 207 Independence Springs Rd., Sherman, TX 75090.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.bratcherfuneralhome.com for the Clayton family.
