Richard Wolf Leon Smithson

Visitation for Mr. Smithson will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison, TX 75020.

He was born on March 22, 1940 in Durant, OK, the son of James C. Smithson and Stella Bealle. On April 27, 1976 he married Kathy Hayden in Sherman, TX.

Wolf ran movie projectors at local theaters; worked for Buddy Clay for several years; worked at the Safeway plant; worked for Johns Mansville for 10 years and retired from LOF, after 17 years. He loved to read and shoot big weapons at Red River Fire Arms. During his high school days, he was in the Durant High School band.

He is survived by his wife Kathy; son James Gary Smithson & wife Lori of Arlington; daughter Stacey Lang & husband Robert of Sherman; brother

R. C. Smithson & wife Jane of Florida; father & mother-in-law James & Rosa Hayden of Denison; grandchildren Shawn Michael Shaffer & wife Sharee; Gary Dwayne Lang; great-grandchildren Donavin, Gavin, Havin, Devin.
