OBITUARY
Shirley Jane Case
December 9, 1935 – October 8, 2017

Shirley (Gan-Gan) Case returned to her heavenly home on Sunday, October 8, 2017. Surrounded by family and with her firm belief in God, she ended her struggles and was granted eternal peace.
Shirley was born in Dorchester, TX to Ruby and William Ruffin on December 9th, 1935. She was the youngest of four children. Wanda Crook, William “Bill” Ruffin and Sybil Girdner are all still living.
Shirley met the love of her life, John H. Case when she was 13 years old. Defying all odds and many miles, at age 17, they were married on September 26, 1953. They had two children, Roxanne Case Lowry Vrbka and John Stephen Case. From this small loving family she was blessed with 7 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great, Great Granddaughter.
Gan-Gan loved unconditionally, and was actively involved in a wide variety of her loved ones activities. From Dance Recitals/Competitions, to baseball, hockey, and football games, she was there to cheer and encourage the children. She was an avid quilter and a pillar in her church community. She will be truly missed by all, both young and old.
Family visitation will be held at Bratcher Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Parkside Baptist Church in Denison, with Dr. Craig Canton officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.
