William Leo Howland, age 97, of Denison, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 and is under the care of Bratcher Funeral Home. William was born September 22, 1923 in Clarksville, Texas to John and Lillie Howland.

William served in the ARMY during WWII. He was also a section foreman with Burlington Northern Railroad for over 40 years.

William was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park, Texas and most recently attended Community Bible Fellowship in Howe, Texas. He loved the Lord, The Dallas Cowboys, and golf! He married Vaneta Joyce Luther on June 29, 1948 until her death on August 26, 2016.

William is survived by his daughter, Trena Kreaps and husband Phillip. Son Paul Howland and wife Cindy. 4 granddaughters, Rhonda Grady, Kelsey Howland, Haley Howland and Hannah Maynor. 3 great grandchildren, Caroline and Cullen Grady and Brooklynn Maynor.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Vaneta, and son Virgil. 8 siblings, including his twin brother, Leon, just three weeks ago.
